The Laughing Kookaburras

The lovely couple perched on the tree branch i passed by on my morning walk. They must have been romantic and humming or even chatting about the impeccable summer day that just began.

Yes they bursted out laughing,๐Ÿ˜Š

A lone dragon stays aloft

…or this guy is on duty patrolling the coastline, perhaps..

This photo is not great because the angle that I caught him stayed at the edge of the cliff,ย  also caught the rock platform in straight line, and it made the his presence assimilated in background.ย  Oh well, I could not help it as there was a fence laid between us and I concluded that I could not train my lens in better position than this.

Also, often my daydreaming head get a mini story in the head, when I catch non-human lives with my eye-balls.ย  Earlier the day before I caught this dragon, I saw the three seagulls at the local beach, and I instantly came up the idea to put them the role as Lifeguard ( please also in here ).ย  ย They were charmers driving me nuts developing trifle short stories in the head (and I certainly love doing that ;-)).

Thank you for WordPress friends for sharing your views to the photo of the dragon!

I took back to the image and gave it try a bit more edit, which turned to this.

I am happy with this in hue, contrast, and composition.ย  ๐Ÿ™‚

Anyway, thank you for stopping by.

Are you a good photographer?

….That’s what I thought the seagull was asking me.

This was a lucky shot as it just turned to me when I trained my camera on it.

…Thank you for turning to my camera frame.ย  I am not a good photographer I am afraid, but If you happened to have a chance to see this photo, I hope you would like it.ย  ๐Ÿ™‚

A lone visitor in Australia Day morning

26th of January is Australia Day and I got a cute lone visitor at my balcony in the morning.

I have Lorikeets stopping by at my balcony sometimes, I guess only when they can not get enough feeding / food at others.ย  I understand that they go around a pair.ย  A week ago, I had another pair popped in to my spot and requested me something for them.ย  I do not hold anything particularly for any birds to eat, so I gave them honey and water.

That morning of 26th, the Lorikeet appeared with no buddy to fly with.ย  I served honey and water as wondering where your buddy is and hoped this guy was different from the pair that I saw a week ago and is still too young to get a pair to live with.

Interestingly, my two cats Bleu and Shiraz behaved good to Lorikeets on the balcony that they didn’t ramp.ย  That’s unusual behavioural pattern in them.ย  In that morning they just gave it stares at over the screen window and Lori moved on the table even to the near side to the screen.ย  Looks like Lori greeted as if Bleu and Shiraz are its friends.ย  Guess it stopped by to celebrate the day together, I guess.. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I served honey and water

Lori enjoyed them

…do you want more?

Thank you for stopping by.

A piece of work of the day 12

New arrival on today.

As always, no clear subject or theme present in my head as to what to draw, but some sense had me made this.ย  The below is a snapshot of developing the work.

A complete one is posted on my Instagram account and will be shared on my Facebook page too.

Despite my vague head and abstract work produced, I am still very happy as it was out of my head and hands.ย  ๐Ÿ™‚

Assembling my vague image in the head is in progress..

Thank you for stopping by.

A black swan on the pond

This was taken at Centennial Parklands sometime ago in the afternoon.ย  While strolling in the vast space of the park, which was big enough for me to explore for a short time only before I went to next place, I ran into number of birds such as ducks, Australian white ibis, and black swans and more.

I am not good at capturing moving objects.ย  The swan on the photo was just floating quietly.ย  But due to my position against sunlight which started to setting down, it turned an uneasy shooting for me hence it was a good lesson time. ๐Ÿ™‚

I processed this into monochrome.ย  This was another a bit challenge because the swan herself was colored in black so I wanted to see how she will be featured.

Yes, this is the outcome.

This photograph is my submission to Leanne Cole’s Monochrome Madness this week.ย  Every Thursday she gets her space open for other photographers and their monochrome images.ย  It is great opportunity for me to see their excellent photographs lined up every week.ย  Please visit and check her web site if you are interested. ๐Ÿ™‚
