A piece of work of the day 37 ~ the inspiration from the flow work

As one of requirements to comply with the Diploma Course of Transpersonal Art Therapy I am currently taking, I regularly take 1 on 1 sessions with a Transpersonal Art Therapist.

I usually am not good at doing meditation by myself, but because Kimberly, the therapist, is very good (she is a meditation facilitator also) at leading me to be in a relaxed meditating state.

Our last session work was that she navigated to let me feel the energy flowing from my root chakra through to crown chakra on the top of the head and to let me capture how I felt at each chakra when the flow came through.

This little piece of work represented my heart (4th) chakra and throat (5th) chakra, the both of where I felt some blockage.

It was interesting though, I felt weighed by something, like as if a chunk stacked inside my chest and I felt a bit heavy while breathing.

Then when I came at the throat chakra, I got an image of a water fountain splashing water.

Then a big plate came from somewhere and place (or almost place) over the fountain.

The water from the fountain did not splash high anymore but just hit the plate and fell straight over the fountain.

While I was on my way home after the session with her, I was thinking back about the image and the feeling again.

I thought this is the challenge or assignment that I should not avoid but take up.

I admit I certainly have a sort of fear or resistance to express myself openly, and it most likely came from lacking self-trust.

So,…I should trust myself more, being comfortable with myself, and I love myself more, then I should make myself confident to express about myself.

Oh why, sounds like I got my 2021 resolution I should work for.  🙂

The small lovely amazonite and rhodochrosite tumbles matches the work and that makes me happy.  🙂

‘You can take a photo of me…’, the snaps of the curious gull on the beach ~

This summer was not as hot as the usual summers in Sydney.

I missed (or almost forgot) making my typical beach time packing beach throw, sunscreen, and the straw hat together with some favourites in the basket.

So I took a long morning walk the other day to soak my foot and appreciate nature and the moment where I felt.

While I started being space out on the beach and just enjoyed the touch of water and sand, a seagull caught me in the eyes on its landing to the edge of the cement pipe.

The lone seagull stood afar.

I enjoyed taking some morning snapshots.

The seagull lost my perspectives, that every look I gave to, it came closer to me.  It was like, as if it never paid attention to me existed there, but it never got out of frame of the view.

It even looks like the gull might have made posing to help my snap looking better.

Finally the gull turned to (the last shot) look at me straight.

‘Sure, you can take a photo of me’

….Is that what you just said to me?

After the last shot I caught, the gull flew away from me.

I wondered what the gull would have commented if I could show it the last shot and ask….

I did not make occasions to go to beaches this summer, and I extended my regular walking up to the nearest beach this morning.

It was just before the beach gets busy with people coming out for morning swims.

Water was clear.

I soaked my bear foot on the water’s edge.

It was more than just refreshing,…. it was more like something making me relieved.  ….is it so called the ‘earthing’?

Kept walking along the edge then saw some art works by nature.  Lucky that it was before being squashed by the crowd.

The ripples created beautiful patterns on the sand which made me imagine something like smooth fabric.

Thank you our mother earth for this, i greatly appreciated!

The Laughing Kookaburras

The lovely couple perched on the tree branch i passed by on my morning walk. They must have been romantic and humming or even chatting about the impeccable summer day that just began.

Yes they bursted out laughing,😊

A piece of work of the day 36 ~ Bleu

Another patchwork for the birthday card for friend who loves Bleu and Shiraz.

The two are very different in nature and are uniquely beautiful. I used Bleu for the model of the patchwork likely because his moon face was easy to modeling. 🙂

Shiraz (left) and Bleu

The both turned 15 years old this year. I will write about it on another blog.

A piece of work of the day 34 ~ Dragon The Guardian Deity

I drew this dragon for someone who was born in the year of dragon and turned the birthday in June.

I found that there are several interpretations about this mythological creature, and I actually interpret it a guardian or spirit.

I hope year 2020 must bring lights and smiles at him despite that it’s been difficult year for most of us.

End of summer

A piece of work of the day 33 ~Mermaid Magic ~

Mermaid Magic is the name of a blended essential oil produced by Kayse Williams, the co-founder of Sacred Alchemy Inc.

Kayse and I met in Tucson, Arizona in 2019 for the first time.  I visited her and her partner Gary Fleck seven months later in Arkansas, then shared another sweet time in Sedona last month.  Gary Fleck is (well, it’s not just me of knowing him so) the legendary crystal mining engineer who does crystal cut, polish, and make jewelries from the design.

Kayse produces number of blended essential oils aiming for healing and/or pleasure, all of which holds high frequency and struck me something when I first scented one of her range, named ‘Dolphin Joy’.

When I took Mermaid Magic on my hand first time and scented it, the world of the oil took me into so-called Kayse’s world, which was fantastic and warm, supporting, being embraced with love.  It was literally magic.

The scent was enough to urge me to express how I felt in pastel drawing.
